Pinnacle Student Designs Winning Billboard

Nathan Sipes, a 9th grade student at Pinnacle School, designed one of the four winning Bloomington billboards for Your Art Here's 7th annual youth art competition. Nathan worked with art teacher Ross Blackburn on his entry for Billboard Generation VII.  During March, 2009, his billboard was on north Walnut Street, .75 miles north of the 45/46 Bypass.

Your Art Here is an Indiana-based non-profit public art organization created to provide local communities with an opportunity to engage in visual, public dialogue through the use of billboards and other public spaces.

According to Pinnacle Executive Director Denise Lessow, "We are very proud of Nate and his work to educate people about the need for environmental awareness and energy conservation. His design captures the many facets of Bloomington."
